 First Nepal plane crash victim is named as Russian travel blogger, 33: Passenger posted selfie from her seat with message 'Go to Nepal' before Yeti Airline aircraft came down on route from Kathmandu to tourist town. Her social media was today full of messages of condolences, and she was described as 'the brightest, kindest soul we knew'. The tragic blogger worked as a social media manager and travelled widely. Three other Russians died on the flight, named as Viktoria Altunina, Yuri Lugin and Viktor Lagin. Earlier the Russian ambassador to Nepal, Alexei Novikov, confirmed the death of four compatriots aboard the crashed plane. 'Unfortunately, four citizens of the Russian Federation died,' he said. 'We are in constant contact with the Nepalese authorities and will provide all necessary assistance to the relatives of the dead Russians.' Nepal Plane Crash, 70 Passengers confirmed dead.

 At least 40 people have been confirmed dead after a domestic flight crashed in Pokhara in Nepal on Sunday, January 15, 2023.   Hundreds of rescue workers were scouring the hillside where the plane carrying 72 people from the capital Kathmandu, went down. Yeti Airlines, which operated the flight, said there were 72 people onboard – 68 passengers and four crew. According to an airport official, the foreign nationals on board included: one Australian, one French, one Argentinian, four Russians, five Indians, two South Koreans and one person from Ireland. "We expect to recover more bodies,” said an army spokesperson, Krishna Bhandari, said. “The plane has broken into pieces."  The plane crashed between the old and new Pokhara airports in central Nepal.  Footage shared on social media, which appeared to be shot just after the crash, showed raging flames on the ground and black smoke billowing into the sky from debris strewn across the crash site. Russian Missile Strike Ukraine, Killing and Injuring Many People Including Children.

 Russian missile attack kills five and wounds thirty nine people including seven children when Ukrainian apartment block is destroyed as Putin renews his bloodthirsty campaign against civilians. Harrowing images from the scene show how an entire block was obliterated into a mountain of brick and mortar, with twisted bits of charred metal strewn about nearby streets. 'They (Russians) are just inhuman. At least one stairwell is gone. Under the rubble there are people who were at home for the holiday,' said Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the president's office. Firefighters were deployed to hose down the flames in the aftermath of the attack as rescuers began to pick through the wreckage in the hope of finding survivors.  Moscow also launched a fresh wave of missile attacks on Kyiv this morning as a series of explosions rocked the Ukrainian capital for the first time since New Year's Day.
